Deciphering the Details - 2024 KTM 250 Duke

A sneak peek at the released images and it's clear that significant thought has gone into re-crafting this Duke variant. We're talking about an all-new trellis frame that is paired with a 790 Duke-like aluminium sub-frame, lighter alloy wheels, and larger disc brakes among other updates. No rear panels? No problem! The cleverly designed sub-frame makes up for this, doubling as the bike's tail section for a sleek finish.

The suspension too, has seen a major change with a new banana-type swingarm that houses an offset monoshock. The brakes? Well, they're larger and lighter, offering the right balance of control and performance on the road.

2024 KTM DUKE 250

The prime highlight of the 2024 KTM 250 Duke is its design. Tagged as KTM's new-age styling, it's radically different, and some might say, even more appealing than before. The pointed fuel tank extensions not only command attention but also stretch till the front forks. The split-type LED headlamp remains insect-like, albeit bolder, and the new paint scheme is pure eye-candy.

In terms of features, you can find a new display sitting atop its tubular handlebar. We can't confirm if it's a TFT, but that information will likely surface soon. One thing is for sure though — this dashboard will display a wealth of information and will provide Bluetooth connectivity.

Brace yourselves for a steeper price tag because the next-generation model boasts comprehensive updates that demand a premium. But given all these spectacular changes, it might just be worth the extra bucks. We're eagerly awaiting its official launch, which is expected early next year. So, keep your eyes peeled for the most-awaited bikes in the KTM lineup.

Unveiling the Duo - 2024 KTM 250 Duke & 125 Duke

Wait, there's more! KTM has also released photos of the new 2024 KTM 250 and 125 Duke motorcycles. Exhibiting an all-new design, these beauties are decked up with a host of new features and hardware components. While the global pricing hasn't been announced yet, it will undoubtedly be revealed at its debut event today.

Both these motorcycles — 250 and 125 Duke — share a lot in common in terms of design, right from the 5-inch TFT display to their construction. Regardless of whether you're eyeing the 250 or the 125 Duke bike, you're in for a treat.

The suspension comes cared for by a 43 mm WP Apex front fork with compression and rebound adjustability, along with a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. The bikes are built on a steel frame, sporting an aluminium swingarm at the rear. So, what's new with the brakes? A 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc that come with dual-channel, cornering, and Supermoto ABS, much like its higher displacement sibling, the 390 Duke. Oh, and they have a seat height of 800 mm which can be extended up to 820 mm with the KTM PowerParts set.

KTM has dutifully powered both these bikes. The 125 Duke is graced with a 124.9 cc engine delivering 14.7 bhp and 11.5 Nm of peak torque, while the 250 Duke gets a meatier 249 cc powertrain, dishing out 30 bhp and 25 Nm of peak torque.

2024 KTM Duke 125

KTM fans in India can rejoice as these motorcycles are expected to hit Indian roads later this year. Though there might be a few features missing due to cost-cutting measures, there's still a lot to look forward to!

Both Duke 125 and 250 bikes have striking similarities in terms of design. From the headlamp design and alloy wheels to the tank design and taillamp, they share a common aesthetic DNA. However, while the 125 Duke is available in vivacious Blue and Orange, the 250 Duke has elegant White and Orange as its color choices. Apart from these, they both come with a 5-inch TFT display and updated switchgear, boosting the bike's tech-savvy appeal with features like music control, incoming call alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation.
