Hyundai has taken the wraps off the rear design of its much-awaited sub-4m SUV, the Hyundai Exter, further adding to the excitement surrounding this feature-loaded crossover. The Exter aims to redefine the segment, offering a blend of style, versatility, and cutting-edge technology.

One of the standout features of the Exter's rear design is the striking H-shaped LED taillight signature, which mirrors the front daytime running lights (DRLs), creating a cohesive and eye-catching look. The sleek and flat tailgate, reminiscent of those found on larger MPVs, not only enhances the vehicle's aesthetic appeal but also maximizes the interior space.

The Hyundai Exter's rear design complements its bold and modern overall appearance. The tall boy design, evident from official images, showcases a rising roofline that tapers sharply towards the rear. This design element not only adds a touch of dynamism but also emphasizes the Exter's crossover-inspired aesthetics. The roof rails further enhance the vehicle's height, lending it a sporty and adventurous appeal.

Safety is a Priority

Hyundai is placing great importance on safety, and the Exter does not disappoint in this regard. With the anticipation of the Indian Government's six-airbag mandate, the Exter will come equipped with six airbags as standard across all trim levels. Additionally, Hyundai is offering up to 26 safety features across most variants, ensuring the utmost safety for occupants. These features include electronic stability program, vehicle stability management, hill assist, ABS, EBD, rear parking camera, and more.

Feature-Loaded Offering in Sub-4m SUV Space

As expected from a Hyundai vehicle, the Exter is feature-loaded to cater to the demands of today's tech-savvy generation. Among the segment-first offerings are a sunroof, dual cameras with dashcam function, and a burglar alarm. The interior is equipped with automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration, steering-mounted controls, and rear AC vents, enhancing comfort and convenience.

The Hyundai Exter will be available in six trim levels:

  1. EX
  2. EX (O)
  3. S
  4. S (O)
  5. SX
  6. SX (O)

These trim levels offer customers a wide range of choices. With 15 variants in total, buyers can opt for either the petrol or petrol+CNG powertrain options. The 1.2L 4-cylinder engine delivers a power output of 82 bhp and 114 Nm on petrol and 68 bhp and 95 Nm on CNG. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). To match individual preferences, Hyundai is offering nine vibrant color options.

The Hyundai Exter is poised to make a grand entrance into the sub-4m SUV segment, capturing the attention of car enthusiasts and potential buyers alike.
