Points we will cover:
- Unconventional design and unique styling of TVS X.
- State-of-art tech features embedded into the e-scooter.
- Diving deep into its power, battery life, and overall performance.
- TVS's vision for the future and the words of Sudarshan Venu.
The Unconventional TVS X
The TVS X breaks the norm when it comes to scooter styling. Eschewing the traditional footboard and plump side panels, TVS X embraces a bold and creative approach. The fusion of hybrid aluminium and high-precision casting forms the e-scooter’s front frame. Strategically placed motor and controller behind the battery pack, provide a low-set, centralized centre of gravity, perfect for a 50:50 weight balance, which in turn ensures an engaging riding experience.
Incorporated with a hybrid aluminium and a monocast rear subframe, the sturdiness does not compromise on the SUV's futuristic look. The TVS Jupiter 125 is another testament to TVS's functionality-driven design.
Revolutionary Technology
The TVS X rides high on technology. Its twin-shock-absorber setup at the front and an offset rear monoshock promises superior riding dynamics. Adding to this, the 12-inch, silica-compound-based tyres further enhance the riding experience by offering low rolling resistance.
TVS X also introduces its users to an all-LED lighting setup. However, things take an interesting turn with the 26 LEDs in its headlights. Each is independently customizable, welcoming the rider with signature themes played out in lights and sounds. Now, isn't that an electrifying entry!
Power like No Other
When it comes to the power yield, the TVS X does not disappoint either. Complete with a 4.4kWh battery pack, the e-scooter promises a range of up to 140km when fully charged with a single rider. This range extends with its efficiency, able to reach 50 percent charge within just 50 minutes.
The battery sources power to an 11kW peak power motor that propels the rear wheel through a belt transmission. With a robust motor like this, the TVS X boasts a top speed of a whopping 105kph, making its 0-20kph acceleration achievable in just 2.6 seconds.

Electrifying Add-ons
Next up are the high-tech additions TVS X brings along. This includes a 10.2-inch TFT fully-digital instrument cluster, which ensures proper tilt-adjustment for its viewing angle. The cluster isn't just an ordinary one; it's an extension of the TVS' X Connect OS and now houses the NavPro UI. This new integrate offers in-built maps from Here Maps, enabling offline navigation capabilities, zoography, and an elevated in-flight experience. Comparably, the TVS Ronin too offers a great deal of innovation.
Customization and Convenience
The TVS X doesn’t just stop at technical prowess; it extends beyond. The electric scooter's 10/25-inch TFT dash is adjustable to any angle that best suits the rider. In an industry-first initiative, the X also offers reverse assist, enhancing navigation in crowded parking lots or confined spaces. Additional features like cruise control for easy long-distance travels and a hill-hold function to tackle steep inclines put the rider at ease.
Storage is often a concern with scooters. TVS X addresses this issue effectively by providing a generous underseat area offering 19 litres of storage space. Now, long rides won't require you to leave essentials behind.
TVS's Vision for the Future
Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director of TVS Motor Company, in his statement, highlighted how their Reimagine 2030 Vision aims to transform the quality of life through sustainable and aspirational products. The X, being a unique product, is an embodiment of TVS's progress towards designing path-breaking electric scooters of the future. The growing number of people in India seeking intuitive and exciting experiences will find the X a perfect match.
Venu acknowledges the rapid growth in EV sales and anticipates TVS's EV volumes to double to 40 percent by 2025. This anticipation backs his later remark: "We have big plans, not just for the domestic market, but also for exports with the X," providing a foot-forward towards the strategic growth vision TVS has for its latest product and its second electric vehicle.
Wrapping Up
In essence, the TVS X comes equipped with a feature-loaded specification list. The e-scooter captivates with its strong build, striking design, robust motor, intelligent tech features, and unparalleled performance.
However, the availability of the TVS X is currently limited to certain states and cities due to legal and after-sales service constraints, although it is expected to be available more extensively soon.
