Ola Electric Bike: What We Know So Far

On August 15 last year, Ola Electric showcased four very futuristic e-motorcycle concepts. Recently, the company’s CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, shared an intriguing image on social media, revealing a large battery pack cradled by a tubular chassis, hinting at the features of its upcoming electric bike.

The initial motorcycle concepts were very much in the prototype stage. However, Ola has recently patented three new e-bike designs that are more realistic. The presence of the front sprocket and chain final drive adds a layer of authenticity, aligning it closer to models like the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and the Matter Aera electric bikes.

What sets this design apart is its footpeg—a feature uncommon in scooters. At the edge of the image, a seat is visible, which interestingly aligns with the top of the battery pack, further emphasizing its motorcycle design.

Ola Electric has maintained a commanding presence in the e-scooter market, successfully resisting price increases amidst a shrinking subsidy landscape. The S1 electric scooter lineup is priced between INR 74,999 and INR 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
