Royal Enfield will launch an updated Classic 350 on August 12, featuring new LED lighting, while maintaining the existing mechanical setup.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Update Details
Royal Enfield will be updating its evergreen Classic 350 on August 12, with a focus on enhancing its feature set rather than altering its mechanical components. The Classic 350 is the company’s best-selling model and has faced increasing competition in recent times. With this update, Royal Enfield aims to rejuvenate its flagship motorcycle.
New Features
- LED Lighting to Be Standard: The new model will feature LED lighting as standard, enhancing visibility and modernizing the bike’s aesthetics.
- No Mechanical Changes Expected: While the focus is on features, the fundamental mechanical aspects of the Classic 350 will remain unchanged.
The Classic 350 is powered by an air-cooled, 349cc, single-cylinder engine that delivers 20hp and 27Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Weighing in at 195kg with a full 13-liter tank, it retains its sturdy build and performance characteristics. Currently, its pricing ranges from Rs 1.93 lakh to Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom in Chennai). With the updated model launch, it will be interesting to see if Royal Enfield adjusts the prices in response to market competition.
Competition in the Market
In the competitive landscape, the Classic 350 is being compared to rivals such as the Triumph Speed 400 and Harley-Davidson X440. For a detailed comparison on how the Classic 350 stacks up against these models, you can check here.
