TVS Ronin Parakram Edition Unveiled
To commemorate the 25 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas, TVS has unveiled a custom-built version of the Ronin called the Ronin Parakram. This edition features a series of cosmetic changes while remaining mechanically identical to the original bike.
Key Features of the Ronin Parakram
- Custom Made Parts: The Ronin Parakram includes a range of custom components, enhancing its aesthetics.
- One-Off Motorcycle: This unique motorcycle is unlikely to go on sale, making it a collector's item.
- Unchanged Engine: The engine specifications remain the same as the standard Ronin.
The TVS Ronin Parakram's livery features a striking olive green tank with silver accents. A pinstripe of the Indian flag flows elegantly from the headlight to the tank, while the mudguards, knee recesses, and side panels depict images of brave soldiers from the Kargil war. A circular lamp illuminating the number 99 in yellow is a notable design touch on the left side cover.
Design Enhancements
Unlike the standard Ronin, the Ronin Parakram is equipped with a single suede leather seat and feature-rich handlebar grips also crafted from suede leather. The rear subframe has been shortened, adorned with a stainless steel luggage carrier. While the alloy wheels remain unchanged, the Parakram comes fitted with knobby tyres, giving it a rugged appearance. The brass, bullet-shaped indicators and a stylish silver windscreen enhance its overall appeal.
Mechanical Specifications
Despite the stylish makeover, the TVS Ronin Parakram remains mechanically unchanged. It is powered by an air/oil-cooled 225.9cc single-cylinder engine, producing 20.4hp at 7750rpm and 19.93 Nm of torque at 3750rpm, linked to a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension features a USD fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock, while disc brakes are employed at both ends with dual-channel ABS for safety.
In summary, the TVS Ronin Parakram edition pays tribute to the heroes of Kargil while offering a visually stunning motorcycle that retains the performance of its predecessor.
